Elektra Transformers

Elektra Transformers began operations in 1996, originally as a small division within an established company, with the initial aim of providing low-voltage current transformers to the electrical industry in Southern Africa. By mid 1997, this division had grown to become a company in its own right, trading under its present name from its first base in Germiston, South Africa. Elektra Transformers has been located in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, South Africa, since June 2012.

Both directors of this fledgling company had previously accumulated many years of experience in the manufacturing aspect of the Readymix Concrete industry, and it therefore wasn’t long before some of their ‘old’ Readymix clients were urging them to get ‘mixed up’ in concrete again! It was consequently a natural progression for a second division to evolve within the company to service the growing demand in this arena.

Although seemingly disparate, these two divisions both require solid technical expertise in the electrical and electronics fields in order to consistently provide quality products and services. It is just such expertise, together with our ability to offer custom-made solutions to our customers, that has resulted in the long-standing relationships that we enjoy with our distributors and customers throughout Southern Africa.

Today Elektra Transformers aims to be the supplier of choice to both the low voltage current transformer industry, and the readymix concrete plant industry. We strive to ensure that customer requirements are consistently met by providing uncompromising quality and innovative solutions in all aspects of our business.

Our current transformer division has been ISO 9001:2008 certified since March 2011.
